Remember the Alamo!!! We'll never forget.

Beth and I took the kids to San Antonio to visit the Alamo and learn a little Texas history. What a great time! We stayed at the Hyatt that overlooked The Alamo on one side and the Riverwalk on the other. The hotel was nice enough to give us a room overlooking The Alamo. We went to the IMAX movie about the Alamo on Sunday night. The movie was very informative - we learned some great things about Texas history.

After the movie, we went to a Mexican restaurant on the Riverwalk. We then headed back to the hotel and went to the rooftop pool and hot tub. The pool water was very cold - but it did not stop Ryan from swimming. Hunter and I stayed in the hot tub. Hunter was fighting a little bit of a cold.

On Monday our intention was to take a boat tour of the Riverwalk. However, upon arriving we learned that Monday was the day the city drained the Riverwalk in order to do some annual maintenance. We thought it would take at least two days to drain the water, but when we walked outside on Monday morning - the Riverwalk was already drained!! After doing the Alamo tour, we had fun watching the workers clean the Riverwalk. Hunter, Ryan and I were interviewed by a local TV station regarding our visit.

We weren't able to see our interview on T.V. but we did find an article online regarding our chat. If you visit http://www.ksat.com/video/26357783/index.html you can see our appearance. Hunter and Ryan do not show up until the end of the segment, so keep watching! What a fun experience for them.
